The Fee
Individual Psychotherapy: $200 per 50-minute session.
Relational Couples Therapy: $280 per 70-minute session. A
Do you take insurance?
Currently, I am in network with Anthem BlueCross BlueShield. For clients with Anthem, you would only pay a copay of $20 or $30 dollars depending on your plan, thereby making therapy much more affordable.
Maximizing Your Benefits (The Superbill)
For folks who don’t have Anthem, many PPO plans offer significant reimbursement for "Out-of-Network" mental health services. I provide a monthly Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for direct reimbursement.
I recommend calling your provider and asking these specific questions:
Do I have "Out-of-Network" benefits for outpatient mental health (CPT code 90837 for individuals or 90847 for couples)?
What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
Once my deductible is met, what percentage of the "allowed amount" will be reimbursed to me?
How do I submit my Superbill for reimbursement?
Wealth Redistribution & Sustainability
My practice is committed to a redistribution of wealth. While we work individually, we exist within a communal pot.
The $215 fee is a "Sustainability Rate." It covers the cost of high-level clinical care while subsidizing sliding scale spots for those who have been historically marginalized from quality mental health care. When you pay the full fee, you are directly supporting a community ecosystem that allows therapy to be accessible to those who might otherwise be priced out.
Reflecting on your fee: I invite you to consider a rate that feels like a significant investment in your growth, but one that does not require you to sacrifice what is life-sustaining to you. If the sustainability rate is a barrier, please reach out to discuss current sliding scale availability.
